But it feels bad/weird to have to make yourself weaker individually than many of your vassals. ![]() Maybe I'll need to get back to playing that way. I'd been a diplomacy fan before, many patches ago, especially closer to the game's release. And it has a bit more levies with half my realm size (but double my vassal limit, which it uses fully). Or, heck, even multikings sometimes.īy contrast, Abbassid AI tends to have a tiny demesne, huge vassal limit and total reliance on vassal levies. A realm of 800 holdings with vassal limit at 22 requires either vassal kings (thus multi-tier vassalage) or multidukes. ![]() This means my vassal limit is often horrible, even despite usually having great chancellors (25 Diplo or so) and own/dynasty prestige. My only problem with managing two empires is the same as my general problem with managing any sort of blob these days - I tend to favour Stewardship + Centralization + Rulership Focus, relying on a demesne of preferably 10-12 holdings that are being teched to death and vigorously upgraded + huge retinue with MO (unless too expensive to fill out whole retinue base in the light of my monthly income vs upkeep cost). ![]()
